Irrigation Systems

I have always wanted to grow my own food, but I have just never had the means to do so. I don’t even know how irrigation systems work, so how could I even hope to water enough plants to feed me for an entire year? I guess if I really want to do this I need to start learning about the best ways to go about it.

Irrigation systems aside, I do know a great deal about how to grow food and how to cultivate it well. My family has several current and ex-farmers in it, and I have spent a lot of time working for them in the past. I know which plants grow the best in certain conditions, and I know when to plant these certain items. Farming is a very complicated thing, and I am always surprised that farmers are not more well-respected in our communities. We love people who can act, but we don’t care about the people who are keeping us alive by feeding us.

When I finally do start growing my own food it is going to be a pretty happy day in my life. Maybe I will start looking into it now so that I can start next season.

SMA Inverter is a Translator

I have recently had the opportunity to learn more about how a generator system is hardwired to a house in order to make it work in the case of power outages. It is fairly well known that solar energy can be harnessed and stored in a battery in direct current form. Well, houses use an alternating current to power the many appliances and light bulbs that make the house more comfortable to live in. In order to get the power from a direct current form to the usable alternating current, a SMA inverter is needed. This device takes the stored power in the battery and changes it so it can be used by the appliances in the house. Without the SMA inverter, the entire system would be in trouble because the power would not be available for use. It would simply be stuck in the battery.

This would be a lot like trying to translate one language to another without having any common language that is shared between the two parties. The SMA inverter is like the translator who knows both languages and can connect the battery to the house. However, this would be a one-sided conversation where the battery never stops talking.
