How did it go? Were you able to help your local business clients get more business?<\/p>\n<div class=\"cb-advice\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.advicelocal.com\/advice-local-resources\/advice-locator-pages-guide\/?utm_source=Blog_Banner&#038;utm_medium=Blog_Content_Banner&#038;utm_campaign=Blog_Banner&#038;utm_content=store_locator_guide_download_find_out_now\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"700\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/www.advicelocal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/store-locator-guide-ad.jpg\" class=\"acb-banner-image\" alt=\"Store Locator and Location Landing Page Guide\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.advicelocal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/store-locator-guide-ad.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.advicelocal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/store-locator-guide-ad-300x107.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>As a reminder, I suggested you call and email your clients to find out what they had planned \u2013 and if their answer was \u201cnothing,\u201d to help them make that plan! From there I wanted you to take action and implement any necessary changes to their Google Business Profile (previously Google My Business) and other business listings.<\/p>\n<p>I even gave you some tips and tools to make it easier, such as creating a timeline for the activities that needed to transpire, and to use the available scheduling tools to help them implement their marketing plan.<\/p>\n<p>While the holidays are not yet over, hopefully your focus is also on how you are going to help your clients keep the momentum (or improve it) in the first quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>We all hoped COVID would be over by now, but it seems it\u2019s going to follow us into 2021. In North Texas, occupancies are dropping back down to 50% capacity at restaurants and such. The trend of mandates and consumers being cautious about the businesses they frequent is continuing.<\/p>\n<h2>Answer These Local Marketing Questions<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>How can you help your local business clients continue to get new customers?<\/li>\n<li>How can you help them build trust with consumers online?<\/li>\n<li>How can you help them demonstrate their expertise?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Over the past several months, I\u2019ve been sharing new strategies and available features with you. As we inch closer to 2021, the above questions remain extremely pertinent, so let\u2019s revisit just how you can help your local business clients.<\/p>\n<h3>1. Google Business Profile Optimization<\/h3>\n<p>Make sure your clients\u2019 Google Business Profile (GBP) listings are optimized to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advicelocal.com\/blog\/covid-19-actions-clients-business-listings\/\">share what their COVID procedures<\/a> are, and that the business\u2019 website has a page discussing it. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advicelocal.com\/blog\/adding-google-my-business-attributes-to-small-business-listings\/\">Utilize all the attributes features<\/a> that Google has made available.<\/p>\n<h3>2. Leveraging E-A-T for Local Business Marketing<\/h3>\n<p>That\u2019s right \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advicelocal.com\/blog\/how-local-businesses-can-demonstrate-expertise-online\/\">expertise<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advicelocal.com\/blog\/authoritativeness-importance-to-a-google-my-business-listing\/\">authoritativeness<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advicelocal.com\/blog\/building-trustworthiness-online\/\">trustworthiness<\/a> (E-A-T) can help you better service your local business clients. While Google is referring to a business\u2019 website content when they discuss E-A-T, this can and should be applied to a business\u2019 online presence everywhere. Consider E-A-T as it relates to a client\u2019s GBP listing, their social media presence and for Pete\u2019s sake, the business\u2019 directory listings!<\/p>\n<h3>3.
