She did a study comparing Google Business Profile (GBP) Insights data to Google Search Console data. Joy outlines quite a few discrepancies \u2013 and the very specific reasons for it. I recommend you check it out.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, have you ever considered the following fact? While a business\u2019 website might be placing high in search results for specific keywords, when it comes to their Google Business Profile listing, the keywords that help it to appear in search results are different.<\/p>\n<h2>Using Google Business Profile Insights Data to Plan Your Local SEO Strategy<\/h2>\n<p>How often do you dig into your clients\u2019 search console data and then shift your local SEO strategy based on the information you uncover? Today we want to challenge you to also look into their GBP Insights data when making these decisions.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12385\" src=\"https:\/\/beta.advicelocal.com\/blog\/images\/gmb-insights-performance-data.png\" alt=\"Example of GMB Insights Search Performance Data\" width=\"75%\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Google Business Profile Insights Search Performance Data Is Powerful<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Enables you to view how many searches triggered a specific business\u2019 GBP listing to appear in maps<\/li>\n<li>See what words and phrases people are searching to find a specific business\u2019 GBP listing<\/li>\n<li>Document whether the changes and updates you\u2019ve been making to a specific business\u2019 listing are helping<\/li>\n<li>Develop future strategies that you\u2019re going to take on the GBP listing, such as adding GBP posts on a specific topic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As you may recall, last month I <a href=\"https:\/\/beta.advicelocal.com\/blog\/blog\/google-my-business-solutions-that-pay-off-give-it-some-gas\/\">shared a testimonial from one of our partners using our Google Business Profile tool<\/a> to schedule GBP posts across a business\u2019 multi-location listings. The client\u2019s GBP listings were not surfacing in maps for a specific keyword phrase they wanted to surface for.<\/p>\n<p>The partner started publishing GBP posts focused around these keywords with our tool.
