At the beginning of November I shared with you the benefits of <a href=\"https:\/\/beta.advicelocal.com\/blog\/blog\/google-my-business-sync-keeps-your-gmbs-listings-updated\/\">utilizing Google Business Profile (GBP) Sync<\/a>, which is available to all our partners.<\/p>\n<div class=\"cb-advice\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.advicelocal.com\/advice-local-resources\/voice-search-guide\/?utm_source=Blog_Banner&#038;utm_medium=Blog_Content_Banner&#038;utm_campaign=Blog_Banner&#038;utm_content=voice_search_guide_ad_download\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"700\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/www.advicelocal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/voice-search-guide-ad.png\" class=\"acb-banner-image\" alt=\"Download the Voice Search for Local Businesses, Franchises and Brands Guide [ad]\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.advicelocal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/voice-search-guide-ad.png 700w, https:\/\/www.advicelocal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/voice-search-guide-ad-300x107.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>There are a few more hidden features available within the GBP Config section of your partner dashboard you may also want to consider using. The first one relates to the Google Authority Score (GAS).<\/p>\n<h2>Google Authority Score Features<\/h2>\n<p>As a reminder, the Google Authority Score helps local businesses to understand the authority of their Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) listing. The score is calculated based on several factors. Those include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brand Influence<\/li>\n<li>Engagement Visibility<\/li>\n<li>Influence Velocity<\/li>\n<li>Q\/A Quality<\/li>\n<li>Reputation Health<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can access a <a href=\"https:\/\/beta.advicelocal.com\/blog\/blog\/world-meet-the-google-authority-score\/\">detailed explanation on the Google Authority Score<\/a> on our website if you missed the announcement or want a refresher.<\/p>\n<p>Within GBP Config you can elect to have the Google Authority Score information populate for the Baseline Reports you generate, those generated through widget leads, or your white-label landing page.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12455\" src=\"https:\/\/beta.advicelocal.com\/blog\/images\/gas-baseline-report.png\" alt=\"Google Authority Score Baseline Report Example\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As you can see in the example above, this business\u2019 Google Authority Score is quite low. There is also an \u201cOrder\u201d button option. This is a call to action that we include in the report to encourage your prospects to want to buy your services.<\/p>\n<p>You can also elect to have the Google Authority Score information populate on the Progress Report within GBP Config. The information displays the same on the Progress Report as it does on the Baseline. The main difference will be whether you are utilizing our Enhanced Google Business Profile tool for the client or not.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12457\" src=\"https:\/\/beta.advicelocal.com\/blog\/images\/google-authority-score-progress-report-example.png\" alt=\"Google Authority Score Progress Report Example\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As shown above, you can see the \u201cOrder\u201d button has been removed because this partner is using our GBP tool for this client. If they are not using it, the \u201cOrder\u201d button will appear.<\/p>\n<p>Turning on the Google Authority Score to show on both reports is really simple, and a great way to motivate your prospects or current clients to want to purchase other services that you offer.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12456\" src=\"https:\/\/beta.advicelocal.com\/blog\/images\/gas-score-config-example.png\" alt=\"Google Authority Score Configuration Example\" width=\"75%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Simply go to GBP Config and select to \u201cActivate CTA on Baselines\u201d and \u201cActivate on Monthly Progress Reports.\u201d This is a global setting, so it will apply to all the existing Baseline Reports in your dashboard \u2013 and all the active clients\u2019 Progress Reports.<\/p>\n<h2>Accessing Google Business Profile Configuration<\/h2>\n<p>As a reminder, to access the GBP Config section, you\u2019ll need to click your email address on the top right when logged into your partner dashboard.<\/p>\n<p>A dropdown will appear there, and you\u2019ll want to click GBP Config. From here you\u2019ll need to give your Advice Local partner dashboard access to your GBP listings. You will be required to log into the account that you manage those listings with. Please note, if you do not have access to the business\u2019 GBP listing, the GAS information will not be able to populate.<\/p>\n<p>Before I wrap up today, there\u2019s one more setting within the GBP Config section you\u2019ll want to leverage.<\/p>\n<h2>Google Business Profile Auto-Rejection of Public Updates<\/h2>\n<p>GBP Auto-Rejection makes it so that anytime someone makes a public edit to a Google Business Profile listing you manage, it will automatically be rejected.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12454\" src=\"https:\/\/beta.advicelocal.com\/blog\/images\/auto-reject-gmb-public-edits.png\" alt=\"Auto-Reject Google My Business Public Edits Example\" width=\"75%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can simply turn it on by selecting the box. This will save you and your clients time, rather than having to manually reject each edit through the GBP listing.<\/p>\n<p>One last note \u2013 after you make your elections be sure to click \u201cUpdate\u201d on the bottom of the screen within GBP Config.
